Hello, i'm ran!

I honestly don't know when I started entering the fandom, but it was when my friend on facebook recommended it to me! At that time they recommended "mermaid festa vol 1" and when I heard the song i was like "this is the only song ever?!?!?!" Lol

I actually listened to muse music first then I started watching the anime. The first season, I was kinda confused because they just suddenly want to become school idols, I remember being indifferent about them. But then season 2 is what redeem love live for me, the back stories made me cry, all of them! At that moment I was so in love with them.

But then in around 2015ish? They announced aqours! I had mixed feeling about them, because muse will disband, and replaced by new group. Also everyone around me was either angry or happy. So I stayed silent for a bit. When the first single came out that is kimikoko, aqours heroes and step! Zero to one, I just fell in love again????? They're all so cute, I still remember their first live, they were so smol and excited. 🥺

When love live sunshine anime season 1 kicked in, I was so surprised that they still mentioned muse. But the story and plot is surprisingly good? I wasn't expecting that. I really love season 1. Season 2... I love the songs, but the stories... Idk, it's okay I guess.

Then!!! I was really surprised when they announced PDP (perfect dream project) I thought it wasnt real?? I was expecting aqours to disband first, but they gave us even more stuff! They asked us to vote for N girls, but they didn't say that it was for pdp, so everyone was shocked when they announced that shizuku, emma and kanata will be in PDP. I voted for shizuku, because she was tthe first card in the llsif slot, i think everyone who voted shizuku thought the same, she deserves the spotlight!

And honestly, i was skeptical about pdp in the past, i thought it wont work but right now I really love their concept and solos. (Except we have to vote and compete for everything sighs~)

I really adore love live, and I hope this series continue for a loooong time!! ❤️

Might as well join in the event. My last intro was meh too so here's a replacement lol.

I first discovered this franchise somewhere in July of 2014. I decided to leave my comfort zone and do an art trade with somebody and, lo and behind, my partner asked me to draw Maki. I knew absolutely nothing about the series before hand, and tbh thought a title like "Love Live! School Idol Project" was the dumbest, most childish thing ever, and the pictures she sent as references made the show look low budget af (I didn't judge tho cause I like a lot of childish and/or low budget stuff so y'know. Just a little hypocrite over here). Regardless I accepted and got to work. Since it was a character I knew nothing about and was going purely off reference pics, I decided I should give the show a watch to better capture Maki's personality. I bet you can figure out what happened after that.

Maki instantly became Best Girl, and she stayed that way for years; I still love her to death but I recently discovered a massive love and respect for Honoka but anyway. At the time I liked the show, I enjoyed it, I looked forward to the movie after the announcement at the end of the...OVA? Season 2? frig man I gotta rewatch this my memory is fuzzy. Anyway, I was a fan but I wasn't a stan you know what I'm sayin'?

Three or so months later, I kinda sorta forgot about it but not really because. After midnight one night in early October I was bored in bed and decided to just search "anime" into the apple app store just to see what I could find. About an hour passes, countless anime trivia and "word guess" games later, and Honk's smiling face slides over. Real og's remember when the app icon was Wonderful Rush R unidolized Honk. I paused, staring. "Wait, is that? Is that Honoka? Holy crap that's Honoka dude there's a rhythm game for this series DOWNLOAD THAT RIGHT NOW THAT'S HONOKA" hard to believe I was just a "fan" at this point, right?

Weeks went by, months, years, with me never missing a log in. I spent every day learning more and more about these 9 girls and eventually came to love them all with every inch of my being. And I don't regret it at all. While I do enjoy Aqours and the Nijigasaki girls, my heart lies with u's, who helped ease my loneliness over many years.

While I have had points where I just fall out of the series, I have always returned with a stronger passion. I love these girls, I love these songs, I love these stories, and I love the friends I've made because of it. I've grown as a person from this series and they've helped me accept who I am. Even though they're fictional, they've helped me through so much.

And that, I guess, is my Love Live! Story. I got unexpectedly sappy at the end, haha

My Love Live story

It's so weird that it's been almost 5 years since I've been in this community. Although my relationship was kinda rocky with it, I did shake the boat a few times I will admit but that's a different story for a different day.

it all started 4 years ago mid/early 2015. My at the time but now ex-gf and I downloaded a game called "Plant nanny" very simple app you watered the plant everyday to see it grow. When School idol festival ads kept popping up kinda annoying us both, but eventually I clicked on it and soon downloaded SIF. Then I was hooked for good, I loved the app a lot and even tho my account at the time had no URs loved it to death.

Also remember that Thanksgiving event EN SIF had that you could sign up for to go to some Con in Baltimore or somethin'? Yeah I got accepted to play in the little competition but ultimately couldn't go because my parents couldnt afford to take me lmao. Aw well.

Love live soon started to consume my life watching scouting videos and all that jazz. Soon I made my first insta account that went by another.love.live.account. (wow what a nostalgia trip I had typing that) had to deactivate due to my dad finding it and saying I posted "too many personal things", Now I reside on my other half love live account half gaming and wherever else I like

I no longer consume love live like I used too but I still enjoy it rather casually and it really does mean something too me, ik its not perfect but it's worth something in my mind. I now currently own merch of 5 out of 9 of the Aqours girls and a lot of nozomi merch. Along with the shikishi board given out if you went to the "Over The Rainbow" showings on the first day in the states.

That's my story, or a condense version of it. I might tell the other more juciy parts another day, until then after while crocodile.

Hello, everyone! I'm taking part in the Idol Story event: What's your Love Live! Story?

I first discovered Love Live anime in Spring 2013 and watched 3 first episodes. Then I took a long break from the anime but still really loved the music and learnt that there was a mobile game in Japan: Love Live! School Idol Festival!

In 2014 I had gotten back into the anime and caught up as well as started to play LLSIF's English release and it was really fun. It did take me a while to improve in it. I also really liked singing along to Love Live music and loved the songs.

After the 2nd season of Love Live! ended I was pretty sad to see it go but also excited waiting for the movie, watching all the trailers that I could find. When I eventually saw the movie, I felt like M's got a good end to their story and the last song Bokutachi wa Hitotsu no Hikari still makes me emotional.

Throughout Love Live!'s first generation, I always loved Maki and she still is my favorite from μ’s.

Also around this time I found singing cover community online and got excited to find so many Love Live! groups, so thanks to Love Live! and few other idol series I got to singing online too.

After seeing promotion image for Love Live! Sunshine! I as many others first thought that it was gonna focus on Yukiho's and Alisa's idol group which we sadly never saw. When I learnt that it was a whole new group of new 9 idols I got excited to see them and following and watching them grow makes me so happy. I remember listening to the first song previews and being so excited for it.

First season of Sunshine! was so good and got me hooked from episode 1, I love how much more relatable and real the characters feel which is understandable given that μ’s wasn't designed with anime in mind. Even before anime Riko had peaked my interest and after starting to watch she quickly became my favorite and I could relate to her quite a bit too.

When Angel Riko card came out for scouting in LLSIF I recorded and posted my first scouting video where I scouted for her. It was really fun and got me into recording more of them. So whenever there's a big scout I'm most likely gonna record it too.

Love Live! Sunshine!'s 2nd season's last episode was really sad and I cried through most of it. But actually I'm happy that they did not save the school, not because I hated them but because it adds to their goal of wanting to win Love Live! to preserve their school's name and to draw them even further from μ’s.

The movie for Love Live Sunshine! was good but it got me a big confused on as many storylines as it had but I still liked it and the new light it shone on Mari's character. Also it was nice to see Aqours keep going as just the 6 of them.

Aqours has a ton of good music and the new previews out right now are exciting. I can't pick one favorite because there are so many.

Lastly announcement of PDP. I didn't know what I thought of them at first but now I'm very excited to see them and follow their story as I did with Aqours. From them my best girl is Setsuna, her character is very interesting to me and I really like her design.

Umm Ok so back then I used to watched a lot of shounen and mahou shoujo, I remember some friends mentioned love live but I didn't cared at all I wasn't a fan of idol stuff and thought it was really lame, the only musical animes I've watched were AKB0048 and K-ON. I think it was in 2016 I got my first contact with love live, i listened to aishiteru banzai on repeat OVER AND OVER AGAIN I was even planning in doing a fandub and yeah I decided to give it a chance, i couldn't believe I was getting emotional over girls singing. I found out about the game a year ago and sunshine...tho I refused to watched at first..and then Nijigasaki which I never knew I'd love that much... So yep, I'm thankfull for joining this community and thanks for love live to expand my horizons if it wasn't for it i would never have fallen for the idol/musical anime genre♡
