Hello, i'm ran!

I honestly don't know when I started entering the fandom, but it was when my friend on facebook recommended it to me! At that time they recommended "mermaid festa vol 1" and when I heard the song i was like "this is the only song ever?!?!?!" Lol

I actually listened to muse music first then I started watching the anime. The first season, I was kinda confused because they just suddenly want to become school idols, I remember being indifferent about them. But then season 2 is what redeem love live for me, the back stories made me cry, all of them! At that moment I was so in love with them.

But then in around 2015ish? They announced aqours! I had mixed feeling about them, because muse will disband, and replaced by new group. Also everyone around me was either angry or happy. So I stayed silent for a bit. When the first single came out that is kimikoko, aqours heroes and step! Zero to one, I just fell in love again????? They're all so cute, I still remember their first live, they were so smol and excited. 🥺

When love live sunshine anime season 1 kicked in, I was so surprised that they still mentioned muse. But the story and plot is surprisingly good? I wasn't expecting that. I really love season 1. Season 2... I love the songs, but the stories... Idk, it's okay I guess.

Then!!! I was really surprised when they announced PDP (perfect dream project) I thought it wasnt real?? I was expecting aqours to disband first, but they gave us even more stuff! They asked us to vote for N girls, but they didn't say that it was for pdp, so everyone was shocked when they announced that shizuku, emma and kanata will be in PDP. I voted for shizuku, because she was tthe first card in the llsif slot, i think everyone who voted shizuku thought the same, she deserves the spotlight!

And honestly, i was skeptical about pdp in the past, i thought it wont work but right now I really love their concept and solos. (Except we have to vote and compete for everything sighs~)

I really adore love live, and I hope this series continue for a loooong time!! ❤️

Hi! I'm Eumber and here's my drumroll Idol Story! I was an love live fan for as long as I can remember. I also vividly remember being made fun of a lot by my fellow weebs in middle school for liking that "Dumb Kids Show" so from then on I kept my idol interests more of a secret. (Though I still played the game and the music always calmed me when I was upset or panicking)

Then after a lot of struggling at my old school I ended up transferring to a new school and a new class. I ended up playing sif on the first day and one of the girls in the class came up to me and recognized the muse girls as girls from an anime she watched a while back! We ended up hanging out more and more, watching the whole series together (both muse and aqours), watched lives together with our nesoberis, and now we cosplay together! She's my best friend now and we both will talk about "That dumb kids show" constantly.

I learned from my idol journey to not be ashamed (or as ashamed) of my dorky interests and to disregard anyone who says otherwise ^^

#What's your Love Live! Story?

I still remember the time very clearly. It was back in 2014, LoveLive was at a popularity high and almost every artist drew fanart. One of my favorites at the time drew Kotori and I suddenly was in awe. Never before had I seen an anime character with greyish dark-blonde hair, which is my natural hair color most of the year (it's lighter in summer). After my discovery I started to look up what exactly LoveLive is and I came across the newly released english server of LLSIF and I found the anime.

I started my first account but after my phone died that account died with it. Which wasn't that bad because at that point I didn't even play the game that much. But while watching the anime I found a character I related to so much that it almost hurt. Rin. I always liked genki characters so right from the start she was a character that catched my attention. Seeing her support her best friend and even becoming an idol with her was something that I thought was very admirable. But after the Love Wing Bell episode the whole thing struck me as even more impressive.

A girl who was bullied for wearing girly clothes to the point where she was scared to wear it but she still does it for her best friend so they can be idols? Amazing. And seeing everyone support her as much as they did encouraged me to also start wearing girly clothes again, because just like Rin I was heavily bullied because of that. I liked everything princessy, sparkly, cute and pink but when I was in primary school, that was seen as uncool. So I, too, was bullied and stopped wearing things like that. Only after seeing the Love Wing Bell episode I realized that I shouldn't live in fear all the time and enjoy what I like. So after 7 years of hiding my real self, Love Live and especially Rin helped me to express myself again.

So after all of that, I started a new account in LLSIF which I still have to this day. 5 years of playing this game as often as I can resulted in quite an amount of cards that I all cherish a lot. In these years a lot of things happened and changed, I suffered a lot but also had many great days. But this game has always been with me. I'm not gonna lie, I've also been frustrated and sad many times because of the game thanks to the unfair gacha but that's just how it works haha!

I'm just extremely happy that I found this franchise and the fandom because it helped me so much over all these years. I probably wouldn't be who I am right now if I haven't found Love Live! It truly changed my life and I'm so grateful for that.

What's up everyone? I'd like to participate in the "What's your Love Live! story?" Event that is currently going on, so here is my personal story on how I got into this fandom: It was the summer of 2017, I had just finished watching a playthrough of Danganronpa V3, which got me really into the entire franchise, when I first grasped the concept of Love Live. An online friend of mine mentioned how one of the V3 characters (Tenko Chabashira) was voiced by a very popular voice actress, known for her previous work as Nico Yazawa. That's also when I first realized where the "Nico Nico Nii" meme originated from. Up until that point I had never liked Slice of Life shows let alone Idol anime. To me it was all just weeb bait and terrible music. But I couldn't stop seeing Love Live content every now and then on my feed ever since I had joined the DR fandom. There seemed to be a connection between these two fandoms where a lot of people were a part of both of them for some reason. Eventually I decided to take a look ( I am probably the LL equivalent of the much hated JoJo Part Skipper: I didn't start with SIP and watched Sunshine instead). And, boy was I in for a ride. At first, most of the VAs sounded kind of high pitched and over the top to me, so I couldn't watch more than just the first episode. Right after finishing it I immediately thought to myself: yeah, this was a big miss for me. But for some reason, that same day, I saw LL content on Instagram again. It was fan art of the Aqours girls. I looked at Ruby and Chika and I recognized them. For some reason, I couldn't stop thinking about the anime, how well made it was when it came to artstyle, animation and how the music wasn't even that bad at all. The next day I decided to give it another shot. This time I watched the entire first half of the season. With every episode I finished I started to see more things that were actually quite well done, the singing voices, the comedy, the setting. I tried to get behind every characters arc and the reasoning behind their actions, I saw how other fans were having so much fun ranking the girls and talking about their favorite characters. Eventually I finished season one and started playing SIF as well. After that I realized that there were even more characters I hadn't seen before (u's) and that they had their own anime as well. At that time Season 2 of Sunshine had not aired yet, so I figured I might as well watch SIP as a prequel before Season 2 comes out. And through the amount of friendly fans and amazing fan arts, I decided to join this fandom. Ever since then I have been super into Idol stuff, I even joined similar fandoms and started playing other Idol/Rhythm/Gacha games. Now Love Live has become a significant part of my hobbies and I am so very glad about the fact that I decided to overlook the prejudices of it and joined the fandom anyways.

I thought I would share my love live history and how I got into love live; It was January 1st of 2017 and i just had a terrible year so i hoped things on 2017 would be better (and it was) so I opened Instagram and in my explore page there was a screenshot of a scouting and I looked in the comments and the game was called “love live” i fell in love with the game and nico instantly, i have met a lot of people due to this game and anime and I’m really grateful about that :)
