Samurai AU

Over the past several months, I've been toiling away at a samurai-themed AU involving the girls in Aqours, and I figured this would be a good enough place to share it! It's technically complete, but it's part of a larger project that is still very WIP.

Oh, I suppose I might want to do an introductory post, huh? I'm kind of bad at this sort of thing, so please bear with me.

Anyways, I go by Mao, and I've been a fan of Love Live for around 4 years or so (I got into the series a few months before the Sunshine anime was announced, which really doesn't seem that long ago, but I digress). My favourite girl is Yohane, but it's a close competition between her and Maki.

I really enjoy writing and drawing, and I've got a WIP medieval Europe/feudal Japan Love Live AU in the works that has consumed most of my free time, so I'll try to post updates on that whenever those happen.

Outside of Love Live, I'm a big fan of Kingdom Hearts, Dark Souls, and A Song of Ice and Fire, and I'm a huge Mobile Suit Gundam fan, so if you're in any of those fandoms too, feel free to discuss them with me!

Ohayohane!

Around 2015 during my first year of university, I got back into anime after watching very little since my early weeb days of ~2009. I think it was possibly a meme that attracted me to LL (Nico maybe?)

I was immediately enamoured with the show, it was my first real experience of idols and I immediately consumed everything I could find about the project. Needless to say I was absolutely gutted to find out μ's were splitting up just as I'd found them - but that was quickly turned to excitement as more content about Aqours was released.

Watching the seiyuu grow, become better performers, strengthening their bonds together and somehow become more radiant and beautiful every year, surpassing their predecessors by a long way, is something that has always warmed my heart and filled me with courage. It's something I feel glad to have witnessed.

Ok lets talk about how this all started. This was around Summer of 2018. First of all, I heard about this series through the people I followed on Twitter since they always tweeted about it and I always trashed on it just because it looked girly and Nico Nico Nii hahahahshsh. I even told myself that I would never get into this. I discovered some songs because of Osu which were Kimi no Kokoro Wa Kagayaiteru Kai, Wonder Zone, and Love Wing Bell. Yeah. Then a month later, pretty much when school started so around the end of Summer or the start of Fall, I decided to give a shot on the anime. Since I was bored, why not. I fell in love with the series after the 3rd episode. I was hooked. Loved every single character. Umi Sonoda became best girl ahhahahahahaha. After finishing School Idol Project and the movie then feeling emotional hahaha, I started Sunshine and I didn't really like it. Mainly because it wasn't Muse lol. Anyways, I fell in love with Aqours after rewatching it. Now I listen to Muse and Aqours on a daily basis. I love this series so much and I didn't even expect to love it. I was even planning to drop the anime after a couple of episodes haha. Now I just need friends to talk about Love Live lol
