104th Term / 2nd-Year Description:
A second-year at Hasunosora Girls’ High. Rurino returned from California and transferred into Hasunosora last year. She has an upbeat personality that brightens those around her, but sometimes she runs out of energy and enters her “Dead Battery” state from caring too much. Megumi has been her partner and childhood friend since grade school.
Background:
Returning from studying abroad in California, she is enrolling at Hasunosora as a first-year student. She and Megumi Fujishima have been childhood friends since elementary school, with Rurino looking up to her as the cool, older kid capable of doing anything.
As a child, she spent all of her energy making sure that her friends didn't fight. Originally, this was just when they were arguing, but eventually she started doing it all the time. It started to weigh on her, as she spent all her time wondering if people were getting bored or tired and treating it as her responsibility to make them happy again. Because of this pressure, she started to spend more and more time alone, eventually realizing just how fun solitude could be.
Personality:
She is a cheerful and energetic girl, able to find enjoyment in anything and anyone. However, she must always consider her "battery", a sort of social battery that depletes quickly. If this gets too low, then she loses all her energy and ability to think, being unable to communicate properly and appearing extremely lethargic and sluggish. In order to preserve this energy, she has to quickly find time to herself, treating it as a recharging period. Because of her energy's short limit, she enjoys solitary activities and places in nature.
Because of her time in California, she claims that she can speak English. However, in fact, her English is not very good, and is something that only Kaho is impressed by.
Her favorite phrase is "The heart that does not want to enter that path is your own personal master". This saying is included in a traditional tea ceremony guide, and it means that it's difficult to continue something unenjoyable just because others tell you to. In order to venture upon a path, you must want to do it and take an initiative in it, and this mindset becomes one's master in this analogy.
Since she spends much of her energy trying to make others happy, she pays the most attention to how others are feeling. She's very perceptive about this and will notice right away if someone is feeling down.
Appearance:
Rurino is a short girl with long blonde hair, dyed(?) blue on the ends. She has arranged it in two pigtails, with smaller pigtails resting on top of those. These are held together with two big white and pink flower clips. She has bright blue eyes and a red year ribbon.
