I'm a few days late, but I wanted to do a little tribute to one of my favorite groups, Sunny Passion.

Prior to Superstar's airing, I was already a huge fan of Saint Snow, so when I saw that Superstar also had a rival group, I was hyped from the get-go. One thing I was pleasantly surprised about though was Sunny Passion's unique take on being a rival group. Yuuna and Mao are friendly and supportive, and they help out Liella despite being their rivals, which is something that isn't seen much in idol anime. I loved their whole aesthetic and their music, and I couldn't wait to see what Love Live was going to do with them.

Unfortunately, Sunny Passion didn't really get a chance to shine, as they never got a full insert song like Saint Snow and A-RISE did, and slowly faded out of the story. It seems like they were thrown out in favor of Wien, which is a huge shame since they could've easily coexisted seeing as they're completely different types of "rival" characters.

Although I could go on about how I wish Sunny Passion were treated better, I'd rather take this time to focus on the good things. I absolutely adore their designs as they're unique and stand out from the rest of the cast in a good way. Yuna and Mao's personalities make them a perfect match for each other. Their two songs are bangers and if this is all they're getting, then I'm happy with it.

Whether Sunny Passion makes a comeback or if they simply fade out of existence, I'll always support Sunny Passion and they'll always have a special place in my heart. Although you two weren't able to achieve your dream of winning Love Live twice, winning once was still a great achievement and you made your island proud 😊.
