After classes change for the new semester, I’m always first to introduce myself. <br>There was once a time I tried saying something clever. <br>Not anymore. The faster I spoke and the more I said, the more restless people got. <br>If I slowly smiled and said that my hobbies were programming and math, I'd get weird looks from the other girls. <br>I learned to keep it as short as I can for the next person. <br>Time is finite. <hr> Because I'm so short <br>I'm always at the very front of the line. <br>It might seem rational at first glance, but a difference of 1 or 2 centimeters in height won't affect the ability to see ahead. <br>In reality, it means nothing. <br>It's just a visualization and confirmation of my height. <br>Just because I'm short, I can't ever hide in someone's shadow. <br>It's a punishment to have to be the first to move. <hr> If you are the oldest daughter of four sisters, you're expected to be gentle and caring to them. <br>It's a beautiful story, but it is a distant fairy tale. <br>Even successful athletes are often said to be the youngest child. <hr> My family wasn't the type to say, "You're the big sister, so endure it." <br>My younger sisters are simply cute. <br>But do I need to take care of or do anything for my sisters who seem to live smarter and happier lives than I do? <br>I am me. My sisters are my sisters. <hr> Even if families share a higher percentage of genes, they say all people share 99.99% of the human <br>genome. I don't think it would make a significant difference if that number were 99.95%. <br>Well, if someone forgets something, I’ll lend them mine.
