Idol_obsessed

My Love Live story?

Well It's nothing specials compared to some of the other ones I read; it's not like it saved my life or anything. However there is one thing that it did do and for that I will always be thankful. I first watched School Idol Project when I was in probably sixth or seventh grade, so sometime around 2014 or 2015. I can't remember exactly, but I do recall the Aqours was still relatively new. This was also around the time when I was first getting into anime and I had only watched a few before Love Live (approximately 6.) It wasn't until after finishing both seasons that I had any idea of what genres I liked. Nevertheless, I now know that I adore idol animes, or just musical ones in general.

Ever since I was young I have had a strong love of music, I'm not entirely sure why but I have, and watching a show with a fun story, lovely character, and beautiful music it's almost as if my perspective had completely changed. Love Live helped me realize that true music transcends and virtually becomes one of it's own. Even though I don't know the translations for majority of the songs the emotions within them are still conveyed.

It wasn't until about 2018 that I finally got SIF and was truly pulled into idol hell, but I really it was sooner. However, I didn't have a phone for awhile and my cheap tablet couldn't support the game for whatever reason, so I stayed ignorant to much of the series as a result. Shortly after getting the game I realized that I should watch Sunshine. At first I was skeptical because there was so many similarities with SIP but thankfully it didn't end up being the same and ultimately I feel in love with Aqours.

Now onto my best girl journey. Finding my best Muse girl was a wild ride to say the least. At first it was Rin, I loved her energy, positivity, and cat, I really like cats, then it was Maki for a bit, I liked her mature voice and I related to her a bit, then it was Hanayo and it stayed that way for awhile. It wasn't really until I played SIF that I feel in love with Kotori, I'm sure why it took so long but if I had to guess I'd say it was the fact that I didn't really do much with the series for a few years and the qualities I valued in an individual changed. Although Kotori is my best girl, I have grown to love all the Muse girls; I wasn't super into the 3rd years at first, they just didn't pique my interest.

Finding my best Aqours girl was much easier; Hanamaru. Right away Maru wormed her way into my heart with her gentle voice, nerdy nature, and her caring attitude towards others, particularly Ruby. Yoshiko and Mari fought for second best girl spot, but Ruby climbed her way up to stand near Hanamaru. I still love Yoshiko and Mari but learning to appreciate Ruby made me realize how much I loved the soft, sweet type. This pushed our little Mikan from 7th to 3rd on my list.

My best Nijigasaki girl isn't entirely decided yet, but at first it was Karin, I'm a sucker for strong female vocals. But then it shifted to Ai, which is where it is currently but Emma and Shizuku have climbed up a lot recently. Shizuku's sudden rise is partly due to the fact that I've become a bit of a musical fan and because her new solo shares my name. With Emma it's more from the 4komas and just seeing her caring nature with all the girls.

TL;DR my best girl list for each group is: Muse

  1. Kotori
  2. Hanayo
  3. Rin
  4. Umi
  5. Honoka
  6. Maki
  7. Nico
  8. Nozomi
  9. Eli

Aqours

  1. Hanamaru
  2. Ruby
  3. Chika
  4. Dia
  5. Yoshiko
  6. Mari
  7. Kanan
  8. Riko
  9. You

Nijigasaki

  1. Ai
  2. Karin
  3. Emma
  4. Kanata
  5. Shizuku
  6. Setsuna
  7. Rina
  8. Kasumi
  9. Ayumu

This ended up being really long sorry. Also if anyone's interested I'd be willing to do a more in depth explanation as to why I love Kotori so much.
