Happy (belated) birthday, Maki Nishikino!

You may seem like a biting, cynical girl that has no interest in the people around you or the activities that people partake in, but that’s just your exterior. When looking at your interior, one can clearly see that you have more depth to you than that.

Before meeting μ’s, you were a lone wolf. You were reserved and didn’t really go out of your way to make any friends. Suddenly, you were pulled into the incredible world of school idols, and it opened your eyes to just how important bonds with others could be. You still like your solitude, but you allow yourself to have fun with your friends now as well. As an introvert, I think that that kind of flexibility is pretty important. Even if you enjoy being with people that are close to you, it’s okay to want to be alone.

That said, in a typical tsundere manner, you’re prone to masking your true feelings and feigning indifference pretty often. The wonderful thing about your friends is that they accept you despite this. It can be hard to open up to others, but being open about the things that you want to do can help you to grow. During your time in μ’s, you’ve learned to be more honest with others (and yourself), you’ve put yourself out there to try new things (such as becoming a school idol), and you’ve shown plenty of growth. I hope that I can follow your example someday and become a better person because of it.

You have an affinity for making music – you’re a very talented pianist – but your parents would rather have you become a doctor to continue your family’s legacy. Complying with the expectations of your parents because you don’t want to disappoint them is a very real struggle that many people, including myself, have experienced. Again, it’s important to be honest and to do the things that you love. Finding your place in μ’s was essential in your journey of finding yourself.
