I got into Love Live School Idol Project from a random notification on Crunchyroll. (I think I was around 11 or 12 years old at the time) I thought I’d give the anime a watch since I’d always been into slice of life, so I binged the whole series and the movie in two days like any weeb would do. After I finished watching the series, I kind of just never watched it again. I was on YouTube one day and the first subbed episode of Love Live Sunshine came up on my recommendation screen. I remembered watching Love Live about two months before, so I was kind of surprised that a whole other season existed that I didn’t know about. Aqours was what officially got me into the Love Live franchise. I’m not really sure why it had a bigger impact on me than Muse did, but maybe it was the fact that I could keep up with new song releases and anime episodes because when I discovered Aqours, they only had completed their first season. For Christmas last year, I ended up buying myself my first jumbo Chika nesoberi, and attending my first screening of an Aqours concert which was their fourth live. (It was a bit awkward though because a lot of people there were grown men and there was me, a 12 year old girl just sticking out like a sore thumb lol) Overall, I’m very grateful to have found a cool community that circles around uplifting characters. ☆彡
