A long, messy, rambling list about why You Watanabe is my best girl

her character design

You definitely has my favorite character design. Her light brown hair and blue eyes look really good together and as many people have pointed out, her eyes are the colour of the sea that she loves but her hair is also the colour of sand so she reminds me of a beach, which is perfect for Uchiura. (Wow, that was a long sentence). Also, her hair looks fluffy. And can we talk about her outfits? All of her movie outfits and casual outfits in the anime are goals.

her voice

You/Shuka has one of, if not my favorite voices in Love Live. It’s very versatile; it can sound cute, serious and full of energy. I love how you can hear smile in some parts of her solos.

her songs

Okay, I love beginner’s sailing and not just because You sings it. Kind of a boring reason but I just love the chord progressions. But it also fits so well for You (It’s literally called beginner’s sailing). The live performances are so cool! (Shuka springing out of nowhere). I love totsuzen girl a lot (so far) too! I like how it’s more chill than beginner’s sailing and I love the lyrics.

her catchphrase

zensoku zenshin, yousoro! kara no keirei o7. This fits super well with You as she wants to be a ship captain like her dad and it’s also kind of a pun. Speaking of puns, ohayousoro is great.

her seiyuu

Shuka is talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, etc. Okay well no but yes? (I don't know where I’m going with this). I love Shuka basically. She has so much energy in her lives and she’s such a good fit for You. I also love her music outside of Love Live.

her personality

Okay so first, I really liked how they showed her jealousy of Riko in the anime. But in general, I like the kind of genki, tomboyish, athletic characters (Rin is best μ’s girl). Her uniform quirk is cute and yeah, i just like her personality (sorry, it’s 3 am and i cant think of what to say)

her family

Tsuki is adorable, enough said.

her subunit

CYaRon is easily my favorite subunit. I love their dynamic and I can’t think of a song that I don’t like. I’d say Kodoku Teleport is my favorite followed closely by Kinmirai Happy End and Genki Zenkai Day Day Day. Not a lot to say here but I can’t wait for their album in a couple months.
