I actually remember my descend into Idol Hell very well:

It was July 2018 and I had an internship at an art school. There was a girl and I overheard her talking about her Therapist and my first thought was "I need get to know her". The next day, we actually started talking! A lot! I remember her saying "You speak my language" when I finished her vine references lol. She eventually asked me if I like anime and I was just like yeah a bit. She then mentioned Love Live to me. I've heard about it but never bothered watching the Anime. I learned that she does cosplay and tbh I've also wanted to try that. "Do you want to join my Idol group?" and yes, I did want to join.

I had no idea about Love Live but there I was, ready to order a Kanan wig. Of course, I did watch the Anime shortly after and I was amazed. I loved the designs of the characters and at first I fell in love with Kanan because I already had her wig and it would have been a shame if I didn't like her. But after a while Yoshi- I mean Yohane became my best girl. I was for some reason actually able to relate to her. To this day she is my all-time best girl. I love her edgy persona but also how she is an outcast because of the way she to acts, how she feels that everything in her life goes wrong. All of these are things I can actually relate to.

A few weeks later, after watching the anime, my friend from before showed me llsif and it all went downhill from there. Now, about a year later, I have learned a bunch of LL dances, switched from cosplaying Kanan in my group to Yohane, not a single day has passed where I didn't play LLSIF (or LLSIFAS) and I've met so many different people thanks to the LL and the Cosplay Community. Thank god I took that internship

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this kind of stuff. (If not, I'll take it down, no problem) But I'm putting together an english dub of the stories in SIFAS, if anyone is interested.

First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY UMI! And to all my fellow Umi fans, I hope your birthday scouts went extremely well!!

Each year, I look more and more forward to this day. While Umi may just be a character from an anime series, I still feel like I'm celebrating this day for a very close friend. It's amazing how we're able to form such deep bonds with characters that can't even acknowledge us, isn't it? When I look at Umi, sometimes I get this uncontrollable urge to smile. That's something I can't say many characters can make me do (except some JoJo characters).

To be honest, I never used to care for Umi. I can't remember exactly why that was, but after watching the anime she just gave the impression of being super bossy and un-fun. Back in 2017, I decided to try to give ever LL! song a listen, and that's when I first started to like Umi. I was listening to KiRa-KiRa Sensation! (which is now my favorite LL song), and at the 2:17 mark, I absolutely fell in love with the voice. Upon doing some research, it was Umi! Once I realized that Umi had the voice of a literal angel, I started actually paying attention to her character, and became absolutely enamoured with her. And ever since 2018, Umi has been my best μ's girl!

There isn't one part of Umi I can think that I dislike, or that I haven't come to love. That isn't to say she's flawless (which ofc she is), but I still love her all the same. Fortunately I've come into some money the past 6 months, and have finally been able to purchase my all-time favorite figure: Birthday Figure Project Umi! Not only is it Umi (which is great), but the whole line of these figure uses the outfits from KiRa-KiRa Sensation! (hands down my favorite outfits out of the entire series)! What isn't to love about it?

So yeah, I really love Umi. Ngl I really struggled to right this since I'm more of a factual writer than I am emotional, so I hope my point came through! Remember to always have a bright and Umi-filled day!!!

Am I the only one that stresses out when reading a bond story and when they give you the choices on what to say, you HAVE to pick the positive option because that's your best girl or your a huge LL stan that you support all the girls and cant say anything negative about them? Because I do.
